This 1v1 swimming challenge lets you face off against friends, rivals, or strangers in any event—serious or silly. The challenger picks their event and their opponent. The initial challenger chooses to be a part of one of two teams (Team Amigos or Team New Leash) while their competitor joins the other team. Each race earns points towards their team. At the end of the showdown, we will crown a team winner!
Participants will also have the opportunity to race in relays side by side with Drexel’s Swim and Dive Team.
All proceeds support two non-profits: Amigos for Christ and New Leash on Life USA.

How it Works
Write Your Showdown Letter (optional) – Challenge your competitor with a creative letter including:
Event name, details, & date
Your chosen team (Team Amigos or Team New Leash)
Deadline for them to accept
Deliver the Letter (optional) – Send it however you like—by mail, Instagram, carrier pigeon, or even horseback.
Competitor Accepts (optional) – They sign and date the letter to make it official.
Register & Donate – This can be done at anytime to officially secure your spot!

Ensure you have a valid USAT membership (one-day options available here)

New Leash on Life USA leverages the powerful bond between humans and dogs to restore hope, healing and well-being to transform lives.
Founded in 2010, New Leash on Life USA rescues at-risk dogs and works with justice-involved individuals in both prison and community settings to create fresh starts. Leveraging the powerful bond between humans and dogs, our unique model prepares a vulnerable population of underserved people, many living in poverty, with life skills workshops and career services and gives our rescue dogs a fresh start at life and adoption into forever homes.
